La règle horizontale, video, 3'25
La Règle Horizontale is a visual poem about the conflict between a perfectly rationalized space and the passing of time.
The video consists of photographs of buildings in a Paris suburb, and a voice-over.
The text is composed of technical expressions that belong to the vocabulary of computer programs such as Photoshop and Indesign.
This video questions how computer language is mirrored in the structure of a city. How is the binary system used in computers now applied to contemporary architecture?
And how do the lives there fit in to that system?
